Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) officially established a partnership with the University of Jakarta International (UNIJI) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Friday (03/09/2025) in the Harvard Thursina Female Hall IIBS.
The agenda, held at Thursina IIBS of Female Campus, besides the signing of the cooperation agreement, included orientation of UNIJI campus, introduction to study programs, curriculum, and scholarship recommendations for Thursina IIBS students.
The Principal Academic of Male Campus of Thursina IIBS, Ustaz Rois Haqiqi, M.Pd., Gr., emphasized the collaboration is a strategic step for the development of student education.
"As an international boarding school, we hope to collaborate with UNIJI in advancing knowledge and providing students with many options for pursuing higher education," added Ustadz Rois.
UNIJI itself is a higher education institution, previously registered to PDDIKTI under the name of STIE Jakarta International College, before finally transforming into the University of Jakarta International in 2023.
It also houses the Jakarta International College (JIC), an international program that has been running since 2002 and collaborates with world-class campuses such as Monash University and Western Michigan University.
UNIJI offers a special scholarship program, through the collaboration, for outstanding students of Thursina IIBS. The synergy is expected to expand academic access as well as encourage students to compete globally, supported by UNIJI flagship programs and its international network. (iz/lil)
