Thursina IIBS dan Universitas Ma Chung gelar Short Course “Design Thinking in Action”

Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS), in collaboration with Ma Chung University, held a Short Course on Design Thinking in Action for 11th-grade male and female students.

The program consisted of two sessions: the first event conducted in Thursina IIBS campus, focusing on the fundamentals of design thinking and understanding user needs, on August 25th for female students, and the second was on August 28th for male students.

Followed by the second meeting on September 1 for female students and September 4 for male students in Ma Chung University, including practice in creating ideas, prototypes, and presentations from each team.

Ustaz Muhammad Miftah, S.Bns, the Head of Entrepreneurship Department of Thursina IIBS High School, explained that the agenda aims to strengthen innovation skills from an early age. "By the program, students can implement design thinking methods not only in national-level competitions but also when they are in grade 12 through a specialization program," explained Ustaz Miftah.

"That way, they get used to finding creative and relevant solutions to various problems around them," he added.

This collaborative program received a positive response from the participants. They noted that the design thinking method offered a new perspective for creating advantageous products or projects oriented to community needs.

Thursina IIBS and Ma Chung University are committed to continuing this strategic collaboration to prepare a young generation who are adaptive, innovative, and globally competitive. (iz/lil)
