The efforts to establish The Center of Excellence in Thursina Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) have to be intensified by research development and institutional innovation, reflected in strategic research discussions involving organizational development experts and Thursina IIBS board management as a concrete step towards improving the quality of the research-based institution.

It presented Mr. Farhan Muntafa, S.Si., M.Stat, Research Director of P3M Universitas Indonesia, Ustadz Nur Abidin, M.Ed as the CEO of Thursina, Ustadzah Hilmia Wardani, M.Pd as Chief of Thursina Excellence Institute (Texin), and Ustadzah Ratu Fatimah, Ph.D as Manager of Research & Center Development. The forum became a collaborative space between academic and managerial perspectives in formulating the objectives of the Center of Excellence development within the Thursina IIBS boarding school.

In his presentation, Farhan Muntafa emphasized that the Center of Excellence must be built on a strong and sustainable research foundation.

"The Center of Excellence isn't just about outstanding results, but also about how research informs decision-making, policy development, and innovation that have a real impact on the institution," he said. The discussion focused on maintaining the role of research and development (R&D) as a strategic element in addressing future challenges in Islamic education. Research is positioned as a key instrument to ensure that every program and policy is relevant, measurable, and adaptive to change.

The agenda began with a discussion about business processes of the organization, outlined through five main stages: input, process, output, outcome, and impact. This framework is used to provide a comprehensive understanding of how an institution manages resources, executes processes, and generates sustainable impact for stakeholders.

Furthermore, the following discussion talked about program performance evaluation using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model, which is considered effective in assessing the program's suitability to organizational needs, implementation efficiency, and the quality of results achieved in Center of Excellence development.

The Chief of Human Capital Management (HCM) of Thursina IIBS, believes that intensifying research and program evaluation is a strategic step to improve the quality of human resources and institutional governance. She highlighted that a data- and research-driven approach will help institutions formulate more targeted policies and support sustainable development of human resource competencies.

Through the meeting, Thursina IIBS affirmed its commitment to establish a Center of Excellence based on research, innovation, and systematic evaluation.
