As many as seven male students of Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) successfully brought honor to the school by winning the Malang Regency Perpani Cup 2025, held at Gondanglegi Field on Monday (September 14, 2024). They gained most archery categories, for both individual and team.
The outstanding students were Ershadtria, who won the first place in U-13 Male Standard Bow category; Naufal Ainuri Ramdhan, winning the third place in U-15 Male Standard Bow category; Nawwaf Achmad Zaky, achieving the top champion in U-15 Male Compound category; Hilmi Yunan Afrizal, who gained the second place in U-15 Male Compound category; and Yusuf Abdullah Al-Faruuq, who stood in the third place in U-15 Male Compound category.
Furthermore, the Thursina IIBS teams triumphed first place in U-15 Compound category for Nawwaf, Hilmi, and Faruuq, and the second winner in U-15 Male Standard Bow category for Revan, Naufal, and Rafif.
Keberhasilan ini tidak lepas dari pembinaan intensif yang dilakukan di lingkungan pondok. Ustaz Munahar Al-Amin, S.Pd., selaku Co. Sport and Art Thursina IIBS menjelaskan bahwa anak-anak berlatih secara rutin setiap sore hari di dalam pondok.
The success was due to the intensive coaching in the boarding school. Ustaz Munahar Al-Amin, S.Pd., Head of Sport and Art of Thursina IIBS, explained that the teams practice regularly every afternoon.Â
"They are all regular winners in previous events. Alhamdulillah, despite their busy schedules, they consistently practice and result in impressive attainments," explained Ustaz Munahar.
He expressed his gratitude and excitement for the accomplishment and hoped the victory would inspire their peers, he concluded. (Iz/lil)
