To ensure quality dental services, Thursina Medical Clinic held a training session entitled "The Strategic Role of Paramedics in Supporting Quality Dental Services." It was attended by paramedics in the Dental Clinic to strengthen collaboration between doctors and supporting staff in providing the best care for patients.
Thursina Medical Clinic Manager, Ustadzah Titis Widayanti, MMRS, explained that the program aimed to improve the knowledge and practical skills of paramedics to play an active and professional role in providing services. "We hope following the training, service standards in Thursina Clinic will improve, in terms of teamwork efficiency and patient satisfaction," she said.
During the training, participants received main courses such as the basics of clinical care in the dental clinic, paramedic ethics and communication, sterility techniques and instrumentation, and simulations of dental assistance procedures. The key trainer was Dr. Mirna Fannya, who has extensive experience in both dental practice and education. Furthermore, the internal management team of the clinic served as facilitators.
The role of paramedics is considered pivotal in supporting the success of dental services. Ustadzah Titis said, "Paramedics are direct partners of the dentists. They prepare equipment, assist with procedures, maintain sterility, and accompany patients. Fast, precise, and comfortable service would be achieved if paramedics work swiftly and skillfully," she said.
The enthusiasm of the participants was enormous as the training was designed using interactive learning approaches and hands-on simulations. The audience had engaged in case discussions, Q&A sessions, as well as practice in assisting the dentists based on procedures of medical service standards.
Ustadzah Titis delivered a great hope to all participants and emphasized the importance of responsibility and spirit of professionalism in work. "Let Thursina Clinic be a 5R clinic (Concise, Neat, Clean, Careful, Diligent) and professional in every action," she stressed.
