Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) held a Tabligh Akbar (Grand Tabligh) to commemorate Isra' Mi'raj of the Prophet Muhammad SAW on 27 Rajab 1447 Hijri, simultaneously in two locations on Thursday evening (15/01/2026). The agenda was centered at the Thursina Mosque for male students and the Zahratul Ummah Mosque for female students, to preach and maintain spiritual values for all students.
Tabligh Akbar (Isra' Mi'raj) this year featured the theme "Isra' Mi'raj as a Moral Foundation in the Modern Era." It was chosen to emphasize the relevance of the glorious event of Isra' Mi'raj in addressing the challenges of our time, particularly in building the character and morals of the younger generation amidst the rapid flow of modernization and digital technology.
Tausiyah was delivered by Ustaz M. Shoniful Hadi, S.Pd for male students at the Thursina Mosque. He emphasized that Isra' Mi'raj is not just a historical event, but a guide to life for a Muslim.
"Isra' Mi'raj teaches that one's progress must be balanced between intellectual intelligence and spiritual strength. Prayer is the main pillar, maintaining discipline, honesty, and responsibility in daily life," said Ustaz Shoniful to the boys.
Meanwhile, female students attended the Tabligh Akbar at the Zahratul Ummah Mosque, led by Prof. Dr. Nasrulloh, Lc., M.Th.I. In his sermon, he emphasized that Isra’ Mi’raj teaches balance between human relationships with Allah and relationships with others.
"The command to pray received by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during the Isra' Mi'raj is the primary foundation for character development. In this digital age, prayer must serve as a self-control, a mind-clarifier, and a moral guide to prevent humans from losing their way amidst the rapid flow of technology," he said.
The Tabligh Akbar was also attended by Ustaz Dr. H. Muhammad Ali Wahyudi as the Chairman of Thursina IIBS, Ustaz Nur Abidin, M.Ed., Ph.D (Cand.) as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thursina IIBS, along with the management team, the asatidz and asatidzah, and all students. The presence of the leaders emphasized Thursina IIBS commitment to build an educational environment that places spiritual and moral values as the key foundation.
Through Isra' Mi'raj commemoration, hopefully, all students and the academic community of Thursina IIBS will maintain their spiritual commitment and adhere to Islamic values as a handbook in their daily lives. (Iz/lil)
