As a manifestation of its commitment to producing graduates with an internationally minded profile, Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) successfully held the Student Apprenticeship Program 2026. It held on March 2 to 13, 2026, themed “Experience to Excellence: Shaping Young Scholars, Innovators, and Leaders for Global Challenges.”
The program is designed exclusively for eleventh-grade students, divided into various elite specializations, including Moslem Scholar, Sciencepreneur, Entrepreneur, Professional CEO, and Technopreneur. Thursina IIBS facilitates students to earn substantial direct industry exposure through placements in prestigious institutions, from government ministries, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), to leading private companies.
The Head of the Specialization Program, Ustadz Helmi Pakas Rivai, M.Pd., stated that the program is the effort to build a global network from an early age. "We curate this Student Apprenticeship so that students gain real international exposure in the professional landscape. They not only learn about global work standards but also hone intercultural awareness and how to uphold Islamic values within the professional environment," he said.
During the placement, the participants undergo a professional work rhythm in accordance with the operational standards of their respective institutions. To ensure a seamless cultural immersion process, each student is accompanied by a Technical Supervisor as a mentor, guiding their work ethic and technical competency.
This initiative affirms Thursina IIBS commitment to provide a holistic education that is relevant to the demands of the times without losing its core values. "We hope the experiences will serve as a foundation for our students to grow as global citizens with a cross-cultural mindset.
They are being prepared to become an adaptive generation, ready to contribute to the global stage as individuals with integrity and noble character," concluded Ustaz Helmi.
