Nortis AI Academy, in collaboration with Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS), successfully hosted the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Opportunity Learning Batch 10" on Thursday (August 21st). Held at TICH Thursina IIBS Putra, the event aimed to introduce the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the 11th-grade students and equip them with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the technological era.
Ustadz Muhammad Zainur Rifai, M.A., Head of the Technopreneur Department of Thursina IIBS, said the activity is highly relevant to today's educational needs. The students would gain broad insights, not only in religious knowledge but also in modern technology.
The training featured three speakers. The first was "Introduction to AI, Productivity Tools, and Prompt Engineering" by Ardi Irmawan, Chief Technology Officer of DOT Indonesia. The participants were taught the fundamentals of AI and how to interact with it effectively. Followed by thorough discussion of "Generative AI & Introduction to Large Language Models (LLM)" by Aditya Fahril from Indonesians ID.
"In this session, the students learned how AI can be used to create creative content," said Ustadz Rifai.
Furthermore, in the third session, they received material on "Responsible AI" from the Co-Founder of LetsPlay.id, Arif Bawono. The final session discussed crucial topic regarding ethics, the risks of deepfakes, and the principles of safe use of AI technology.
With digital skills from an early age, Thursina IIBS students are expected to be generation that is excellent, competitive and adhering to Islamic values. "AI is a reality that cannot be ignored, it is crucial for students to understand it properly," added Ustadz Rifai.
The challenges ahead will be even greater, as will the potential offered. The students appeared enthusiastic in the event as they actively participate in the practical exercises, Q&A sessions, and interactive discussions.
