As an institution committed to fostering internationally minded future leaders, Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) reaffirms its commitment to develop students with integrity. On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Thursina successfully held the prestigious "Prosecutors Enter Islamic Boarding Schools" (JMP) at the Thursina International Convention Hall (TICH), in collaboration with the District Attorney's Office and the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Malang Regency.
The program is designed not simply as a standard legal education program, but rather as part of international exposure to establish a positive cross-cultural mindset within the Islamic boarding school. By understanding the rule of law from an early age, they are expected to become global citizens with a strong intercultural awareness, respect for human rights, and avoid all forms of discrimination and bullying.
The presence of policymakers, including Ustaz Muhammad Rajab, M.Pd.I. (Chief of Education) and other leaders, demonstrated how crucial legal literacy is in the Thursina leadership curriculum. The Head of the Intelligence Section of Malang Regency District Attorney's Office, Muis Ari Guntoro, S.H., M.H., discussed the legal implications of bullying.
The session was attended by the board management of Thursina IIBS, Ustaz Muhammad Rajab, M.Pd.I. (Chief of Education) and Ustaz Sabar Arifin, S.T., M.M. (Chief of Relations & Enrollment Office). In the atmosphere of intellectual discussion, Muis Ari Guntoro, S.H., M.H., Head of the Intelligence Section of Malang Regency District Attorney's Office, discussed the legal implications of bullying.
The message conveyed was clear: a future leader with an international outlook must possess empathy and a solid understanding of the law as the foundation of the global network they build. It was also emphasized by Muis Ari Guntoro in his presentation to the students.
"Understanding legal boundaries is the first step for aspiring leaders to achieve global integrity. Bullying not only harms humanity but also carries serious legal consequences that can hinder one's future career and reputation," said Muis Ari Guntoro, emphasizing the importance of legal compliance.
In line with the vision, KH. Dr. Muhammad Imam Arifin, M.Pd. from the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Malang Regency, introduced the concept of Child-Friendly Islamic Boarding Schools (PRA). This concept is the top standard for educational institutions to ensure the safety and well-being of students, creating an educational atmosphere, supporting the development of academic excellence and emotional maturity.
The head of the institution also provided perspective on curation of the program. "We curate each program to ensure that students not only excel intellectually but also possess a sophisticated legal awareness. Maintaining good manners and respecting the privacy and rights of others are hallmarks of an internationally minded individual," emphasized Ustaz Muhammad Rajab.
The implementation of the value of 'Care' in Thursina's RECODING core value is the common thread in this agenda. By instilling care and integrity, Thursina IIBS ensures that each graduate is able to navigate the complexities of the modern world with calm, classy character, and full of moral responsibility. Thursina continues to solidify its steps as an incubator for a generation ready to contribute to the global arena with unwavering integrity. (iz/lil)
