Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) for Male Campus hosted an academic visit from three elite Singaporean universities: Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). The "Tri International Campus EduVisit" focused on exploring collaborations, student admission pathways, and scholarship schemes for Thursina students.
During the presentation, campus delegates introduced their portfolio of leading study programs and majors, innovative learning approaches, and interdisciplinary research ecosystem that underpins Singapore's higher education sector. The two-way dialogue examines the relevance of the curriculum and maps the competency needs of students for study abroad.
The main agenda included a scholarship and financial aid clinic, an outcomes-based pedagogical discussion, joint research explorations and capstone/industry projects, mapping admission pathways for Thursina students, and a focused question-and-answer session. It concluded with networking among university representatives, school leaders, teachers, and students.
The Chief of Thursina International Office (TIO), Ustadz Qoirul Mansur, M.Pd., emphasized the strategic value of the meeting. "The visit of three elite Singaporean universities today, is a concrete bridge: opening access to scholarships, expanding research networks, and accelerating the global readiness of our students," he said.
Ustadz Qoirul also stated that TIO would follow up on the results with technical steps. He explained that they would adapt the curriculum, design short courses and guest lectures, map out admission pathways to SMUâSUSSâSUTD, and provide intensive scholarship assistance, including essay clinics, document preparation, and interview simulations, to increase the chances of acceptance to their destined universities.
He said synergy with Singaporean universities will strengthen Thursina IIBS international positioning while shaping the leadership of its students. "Our target is clear: students who are critical, adaptive, characterful, and competitive on the global stage," Mansur concluded. (iz/lil)
