Latihan Singkat, Prestasi Hebat: Santri Thursina IIBS dalam Kejuaraan Memanah Nasional

Effort never betrays results. The struggle of 11th-grade student, Rahma Anaya Putri Subekti, of Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS), in an archery championship, gained the second place in the 2025 National Open Women's U-18 Horsebow Championship held by Al Maahira IIBS Malang (August 20).

Ustadzah Binti Chopifah, S.Pd., Murobbiyah and Co. Sport and Art of Thursina IIBS, said the competition serves as a platform for students to develop themselves in sports, particularly archery. It also instills Islamic values, character, and life skills. "Archery is a challenging sport. Besides the high cost of equipment, it requires specialized skills and time to master," she said.

Rahma Anaya is known as an ambitious student with a strong passion for honing her potential. Despite limited preparation, she still does exercise intensively every weekend with her coach, achieving impressive accomplishment.

"The biggest challenge actually comes from controlling emotions and maintaining focus. From the competition, she learns patience, manages her feelings, and accepts her own limits," said Ustadzah Binti.

In the future, Rahma Anaya will challenge herself again in the Ministry of Youth and Sports National Championship which will take place in Sentul City, West Java, on September 4–6, 2025.

By the attainment, Thursina IIBS hopes that more students will be courageous to try, progress, and achieve in both academic and non-academic fields. (Sls/lil)
