Thursina International Islamic Boarding School students have once again achieved national success. Muhammad Asyfaq Bayu Aji, an 11th-grade student, won a bronze medal in the National Arabic Language Olympiad in ALEPO (Al-Arabiyah Festival Expo), on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
Held in the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, it attracted participants from various regions across Indonesia. The intense competition required deep comprehension of Arabic language rules, vocabulary, text comprehension, and linguistic analysis skills.
In this event, Asyfaq participated in Arabic Language Olympiads with great consistency. He demonstrated a solid mastery of the materials, successfully reaching him among the national medalists.
Asyfaq revealed that the achievement was the result of a long and focused learning process.
"Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful for the accomplishment. It is inseparable from the prayers of my parents, the guidance of my teachers, and the utmost supportive learning environment in Thursina IIBS," said Asyfaq.
He also expressed his hope that it would serve as a stepping stone to greater reach in the future. "Hopefully, it will be the first step to continue learning and gaining more excellent achievements in the future," he added.
Implicitly, Asyfaq considered that the Arabic language coaching system in Thursina IIBS really helped him while preparing for competition. He said that learning did not only focus on theory, but also trained analytical skills and readiness to compete.
