Thursina International Islamic Boarding School Thursina (IIBS) has once again attained a proud achievement on the national level. In the 2025 PR Excellence Award event organized by the Indonesian Public Relations Association (Perhumas), the Relations and Enrollment Office (REO) of Thursina IIBS, represented by Marketing and Enrollment (M&E) Sub Unit, won the 3rd place in the CSR/Sustainability PR Program category. The PR Excellence Award is the highest competition for PR practitioners and serves as a forum for appreciation for public relations institutions and practitioners in Indonesia.
In the CSR/Sustainability PR Program category, 10 Best Finalists were selected from various well-known institutions, including Thursina (IIBS), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Tanoto Foundation, PT Astra Tol Nusantara, LSPR Institute of Communication and Business, Maybank Indonesia, Gopay Indonesia, PT Karabha Digdaya, PT Dahana, and PT Pendidikan Maritim Logistik Indonesia.
Amidst the fierce competition, Thursina IIBS managed to position itself as one of the main award winners. REO Thursina IIBS through the M&E Sub Unit carried the idea of CSR communication in Thursina young leader scholarship (TYLS) program. It places social responsibility not just as a philanthropic activity, but as a strategic identity of Islamic educational institutions. The M&E Sub Unit consists of Ustadz Abdul Jalil Mursyid, S.Ikom, Ustadzah Ridya Ningrum Wulandari, M.Pd., Ustadzah Isyfa Zahrotul Mufidah, S.Sos., and Ustadzah Nabila Mafaaza Rahma, A.Md.A.B.
The concept emphasizes the importance of social sustainability integrated with the educational vision, RECODING values, and long-term community empowerment. The Chief of REO Thursina IIBS, Ustadz Sabar Arifin, S.T., M.M., expressed his appreciation for the achievement and appreciated the performance of the team involved. "This accomplishment is the result of solid collaborative work within the REO. I express my highest gratitude and appreciation to the M&E Sub Unit who has worked consistently and professionally in managing CSR communications strategically and sustainably," he said.
Meanwhile, The M&E Manager, Ustadz Abdul Jalil Mursyid, S.Ikom, showed his gratitude and thanks for the award. "The TYLS program is one of the largest CSR programs where we recruit Scholarship awardess from outstanding orphaned and underprivileged students, prospective excellent students, and prospective students who have memorized the Quran to study at Thursina. It emphasizes the value of Caring of Thursina IIBS in the community," explained Ustadz Jalil.
Through a structured, data-driven communication strategy, Thursina IIBS highlights various flagship CSR programs, from educational scholarships, mosque development programs, alumni fellowships, social programs and public health services. All these initiatives are consistently communicated to build public perception that Thursina IIBS excels not only in academics but also has a strong social conscience.
More than just an institutional achievement, the success underscores Thursina IIBS commitment to persistently spreading inspiration through every aspect of Islamic education and social service, in line with the core values that uphold integrity, caring, leadership, and service to the community.
