Students of Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) have once again achieved impressive national success. In the Zone of Religion, Fun, Art, Science, and Sport (TZORFAS) competition organized by Insan Cendekia Madani Student Association in South Tangerang, the teams won several championships in various competitions.
TZORFAS is based on four pillars of interest and talent, as outlined in four competition areas: religion, arts, science, and sports. Participants compete for prestigious trophies and awards, all of which adhere to Islamic religious guidelines.
On the other hand, the prestigious event has become a platform and medium for the young generation from all over Indonesia to share their ideas and thoughts as well as their potential and talents.
Thursina IIBS students gained outstanding achievements in the National Da'i Competition for Junior High School level, where a student named Nur Muharrimatul Azeeza, an 8th grade student, won 1st place. It demonstrates the ability of Thursina students to convey da'wah values communicatively, meaningfully, and confidently in front of a national jury.
In the arts category, Thursina students showed great creativity in the National Mural Competition. For junior high school level, the second place went to the team consisting of Ashila Khansa Fathina, Nayzila Azzahra, Noni Aflah Althaf Anisa, and Nuri Maulida, all seventh-grade students.
Meanwhile, for the high school level, the third place went to a mural team consisting of 11th-grade students Arifah Khansa Aulia, Balqis Rahma Salsabila Hady, and Nur Nabilla Alexa. Their work was deemed strong in concept, visuals, and message.
Thursina students excel not only in preaching and the arts, but also in sports. In the 15-meter National Standard Junior High School Archery competition, Parisya Asy Syafiyah and Queena Adylah Zhayyani made it to the finals. It reflects consistent training and mental toughness in national competitions.
Ustazah Binti Chopifah, S.Pd., Co-Director of Sport and Art in Female Campus, expressed her pride in the achievements of the students she mentors. "As a mentor, I feel very proud and grateful. They have shown discipline, sincerity, and composure during training and competitions," she said.
"The achievement encourages us to maintain guiding and developing their potential," she added. The Co-Sport and Art of Female Campus advised them to remain humble, continue practicing with discipline, and use the accomplishment as a stepping stone to greater heights.
Furthermore, one winner, Balqis Rahma Salsabila Hady, student of class 11, expressed her gratitude and pride.
"Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful to represent Thursina on the national level. This experience has taught us the value of teamwork, consistency, and trust in the process. Hopefully, this achievement will motivate us to work and contribute even better in the future," she said.
These achievements have implemented RECODING value, consistently practiced by students throughout their learning process as well as inspired other students to excel in many areas of interest. (iz/lil)
