Thursina Voice Raih Silver Medal di 7th Karangturi International Choir Competition 2025

Students of Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) have once again struck success. The Thursina Voice choir secured a silver medal in the prestigious 7th Karangturi International Choir Competition 2025, held on November 11–15, 2025.

Thursina Voice performed in the Pop and Jazz category, performing two arrangements: "Part of Your World" by Atthiya Monica and "Wings" by Dinar Primasti. The performance was held on November 12, following a stage trial a day before. The award was announced after three days, on November 15, 2025.

Based on the committee data, the competition this year has attracted national and international teams, making the competition even more intense. Thursina Voice has successfully managed to perform excellently, even though, this year, 90% of the total 36 female participants are new members.

Ustadzah Ariesqi Dinda, M.Pd, as Enrichment Coordinator for Thursina IIBS of female Campus, expressed her gratitude for the achievement. "Alhamdulillah, this is a very proud achievement for Thursina Voice. The members showed hard work and outstanding progress during the training," she said.

Furthermore, she stated that the victory was the result of a long, planned and disciplined process. For approximately two months, from September to November, the members trained intensively with professional trainer Lucky Agus Saputra. To improve their mentality and stage performance, Thursina Voice performed in the Ijen CFD on October 26 and also held a mini-concert at Shanaya Resort on November 2. The two were aimed at solidifying each participant and training their mental preparation to perform in public.

Following this, Thursina Voice is preparing for the next major event. The team will participate in the 15th Bali International Choral Festival (BICF) 2026, one of the largest choral competitions in Asia.

The achievement underscores Thursina IIBS commitment to foster the talents and interests of its students through quality enrichment programs, while maintaining Thursina presence in the international arts competition arena. (lil)
