Delaying The Arrival of Students, Tazkia IIBS Held E-Learning

Based on new policy of the governor of East Java and the regent of Malang, Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) has decided to postpone the arrival of students related to the pandemic issue of Covid-19. Online Learning has been the choice to continue learning process in distance. All teachers had been trained for online learning in Tazkia Islamic Conference Hall on 16 of March 2020.

Ustadz Rois Haqiqi, M. Pd, the Headmaster of Tazkia IIBS, stated, Online Learning is a special learning program designed for students of year 7, 8, 10 and 11, using three applications, Google Classroom, Zoom Cloud, and Whatsapp Group. These tools could facilitate both students and teachers to do distance learning.

   

Generally, learning process will be held with the help of Google Classroom; the media, video, graphic, or slides, will be uploaded onto it to be discussed. "The teacher could give them a quiz as well," he said.

Learning media can be accessed and downloaded from zoom cloud. The teachers are possible to monitor the participants through the number of seen and download. Meanwhile, students are supervised by the homeroom teacher by means of whatsapp Group and recitate the Quran via video call.

   

Furthermore, he told that besides online learning, Tazkia IIBS also asks students to do Holiday Project, such as praying subuh in congregation in the mosque or home, washing the vehicle, and so on. "Students are supposed to be actually staying at home during holiday while doing positive activities," he explained.

Online learning will be evaluated every Thursday as well as additional announcement does. "If the program runs well, it will be possible to be continued," he closed the statement.
